High blood sugar forums

If I come of it I go back into the high blood sugar readings and I feel fatigue and sluggish. Has anyone on here found a way to try and control the blood sugar highs and come of from medication. I know low carb is said but I find my blood sugars spike even after a small amount of food.

Does anybody eles out there in diabetes land feel this way when your blood sugar is high ? My joints get so painful and achy its an effort to move. I asked my doctor about this and he said its just one of those things that comes with high blood sugar. Thanks Joanna :wink3: Blood sugar is the primary reason I'm doing this. My problem is my morning fasting number. It goes down throughout the day, but every morning it's high. My Dr. says it's the "dawn phenomenon." Is that what you're experiencing? A huge, life changing, learn for me last year was the impact of stress on my blood sugar levels. My blood sugar level has consistently been high, even going up to 30mmol, at least once a week. This has consecutively been going on this past month. I can reduce the level to half by injecting the fast acting insulin (NovoRapid). Can anyone tell me the reason for the high level of blood sugar. Taking the same dose of insulin as you did prior to adopting a low-carb diet might result in hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Research indicates that raised blood sugar levels over a period of years can lead to organ damage, commonly referred to as diabetic complications. The good news People on the forum here have shown that there is plenty of opportunity to keep blood sugar levels from going too high.
