United silver status marriott

When you achieve Titanium Elite status with Marriott, one of the benefits available to you is complimentary Premier Silver status with United Airlines. As a newly minted Titanium Elite, I was excited to sign up for this benefit since I have a couple flights scheduled with United this year. So I gave it a shot and here's what happened. The lowest tier in the Marriott Bonvoy program is Silver Elite status, which is typically earned after 10 nights. It’s also included as an automatic benefit thanks to the 15 elite night credits you’d earn per year on two different cobranded credit cards that are currently available: the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card and the Marriott Bonvoy Business™ American Express® Card . Seems United Silver is no Longer available for Lowly BonVoy Platinum's. Attached copy of e-mail Hi Uncle,  We've heard back from our team and they have let us know that the benefit of receiving status with United is for Marriott Titanium members; you have Platinum status, which does not offer status with United.

However, Marriott has now quietly added a very nice benefit to its Platinum Premier status. Both standard Marriott Platinum and Platinum Premier elites already receive complimentary United Premier Silver status, but TPG reader Tom informs us that Platinum Premier members will now get United Premier Gold instead of Silver. Marriott Platinum Premier members can now register for United Premier Gold status. The difference between low-level United Silver and mid-tier Gold is significant, though The lowest tier in United’s program is Premier Silver status, which normally requires 25,000 PQMs or 30 Premier-qualifying segments plus $3,000 Premier-Qualfying Dollars (PQDs). For this analysis, I’ll base my numbers on earning 30,000 PQMs at a cost of 12.5 cents per mile (so a total spend of $3,750). Premier members also get Star Alliance Silver or Gold status, meaning you’ll enjoy recognition and benefits on all Star Alliance member airlines. And you’ll earn Premier qualifying credit 1 when traveling to more than 1,200 destinations. Here’s how it works: Lifetime status is based on the total number of years you’ve been Elite, along with the number of nights you’ve earned collectively throughout your time as a member of Marriott Bonvoy (formerly Marriott Rewards®, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards® and SPG®) . Neither Premier Silver or General status will qualify for complimentary status with Marriott Rewards. To be eligible for complimentary MileagePlus Premier Silver status, you need to have either Platinum Premier Elite or Platinum Premier with Ambassador status in Marriott Rewards. Stay 50 nights in a year to achieve Platinum Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy and enjoy a range of exclusive benefits, such as 50% bonus points, room upgrades and welcome gifts. Learn more. While only Marriott Titanium and Ambassador Elites can claim free United elite status, there’s still a way that you can get many of the benefits of United Silver status: United co-branded credit cards.

The United status is the only thing you get from Titanium status at Marriott, otherwise Platinum is the same.
